Clinical History:


30-year-old male with Down¡¦s syndrome. Presented with a episodes of convulsions. No fever.

                      CT brain with contrast

CT venography (3D reconstructional images, occipital area)

 

Diagnosis:


Dural Sinus Thrombosis


Discussion:


CT brain shows an acute hyperdense acute haematoma at right frontal lobe. 
CT brain with contrast shows filling defects in the superior sagittal sinus compatible with dural sinus thrombosis.
CT venography shows filling defects in the superior sagittal and sigmoid sinuses compatible with dural sinus thrombosis.
