Clinical History
30-year-old male with Downˇ¦s syndrome. Presented with a episodes
of convulsions. No fever.
Diagnosis: Eagle's syndrome
Comment :
Lateral cervical spine plain radiograph reveals elongated
styloid processes. The clinical and radiographic features are suggestive
of Eagle's syndrome. Styloidectomy may be the only treatment that
will alleviate the symptoms of the patient if conservative management
fails or if symptoms are persistent and severe.
